Hi there! In the past year I have lost 110 lbs through gastric bypass, diet, and exercise.

I went from a complete non-runner to enjoying the anticipation of the start of a race, the mental aspect of perseverance, and the bliss of a runner’s high as I cross the finish line. I am so proud of the fact that I am now able to go longer distances than I would have ever imagined. Running has impacted my life in such a healthy way.

My newest goal is to maintain this balance as I prepare for the Philadelphia Half Marathon in November.

I want to share my experiences so that others can be motivated to pick up an activity that is genuinely outside of their comfort zone and just go with it.
